Showcase Exhibition 2011

 

OBJECTIVE

  • To showcase the diverse nature of ICT products, solutions and services, ranging from emerging technologies to mature and proven products
  • To promote the use of OSS and open technologies in the public sector and the local ICT industry


EXHIBITORS PARTICIPATION

The Showcase Exhibition features 50 booths allocated for Public Sector agencies, Private Sector and OSS Community participation. Exhibitors are categorised into two categories:

  • General ICT Showcase
  • Open Source (OSS) Showcase

EXHIBITION CO-ORGANISERS

PIKOM and PERJASA will be the exhibition co-organisers. PERJASA is responsible for the operations of General ICT Showcase Exhibition while PIKOM is responsible for the operations of OSS Showcase Exhibition.



EXHIBITION VENUE


Concourse foyer of Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC, http://www.picc.gov.my), Putrajaya.


EXHIBITORS BRIEFING

An Exhibitors Briefing session will be held on 16th November 2011 (venue and time to be determined). During this session:

  1. The terms and conditions of the exhibition will be explained
  2. Booth will be balloted



EXHIBITORS GUIDELINES

  • Must showcase and demonstrate ICT products, solutions and/or services
  • For OSS Showcase, OSS solutions intended for Public Sector use are encouraged to be demonstrated
  • Can showcase interoperability solutions between OSS and proprietary platforms and products
  • Exhibitors’ booths must remain open and attended at all times by 2 exhibitor representatives (dress code: office attire) for the duration, i.e. 29 - 30 November 2011, of MyGOSSCON 2011
  • Must fully utilise the exhibition booth’s dimensions (3 meter x 3 meter) using relevant collaterals and displays
  • Exhibitors are expected to demonstrate that they can satisfy the requirements for quality displays and exhibit stand demonstrations
  • Demonstration equipment must not obstruct the passageway in common areas or disturb other exhibitors

 

EXHIBITION BOOTH

A 9sqm (3m x 3m) Shell Scheme Booth package includes the following:

  • Wall partition, 2.5m high, with white laminated panel

  • Fascia board, with booth's name in English and capital letters, and booth number

  • Needle punch carpet

  • One (1) 13 amp Power Point (Square pin plug is used in Malaysia)

  • Two (2) Fluorescent lighting tubes

  • One (1) 700mmH Information Desk

  • Two (2) Folding Chairs

  • One (1) Waste paper basket

  • Lunch for two (2) participants on 29 & 30 November

Additional items are available at additional cost.

Exhibition Tear-down

 

EXHIBITOR BOOTH SET UP

PICC will be open for exhibitors to set-up their booths on Monday 28 November between 2.00pm-7.00pm.

Each exhibitor is responsible for set-up and safeguarding exhibition equipment and materials.

 

EXHIBITOR BOOTH DISMANTLING AND REMOVAL

Exhibitors can start dismantling work on Wednesday 30 November at 07.00 pm. Exhibitor is responsible to remove own exhibition equipment and materials by 10.00 pm.

 

BEST EXHIBITOR BOOTH AWARD

One Best Exhibitor Award will be presented to celebrate, recognise and provide incentive to be the best exhibitor in the Showcase Exhibition.


The judging criteria for the Best Exhibitor Award will be:

  1. Booth design, dressing and cleanliness

  2. Displayed product

  3. Professionalism of presenters

 

A panel of judges will determine one (1) exhibitor for the Best Exhibitor Award. The panel's decision will be final with the winner announced during the closing ceremony of the conference.
