PIKOM is organising this exhibition in conjunction with MyGOSSCON 2012, the annual national conference on Open Source Software organised by MAMPU.

OSS Showcase Exhibition features 37 booths, with 7 allocated for Premium, 15 for Public Sector agencies and 15 available for Private Sector and OSS communities.

The closing date for submission is 21 September 2012 (Friday) 4 October 2012 (Thursday) by 6:00 pm. Each application must include details of the OSS products, solutions and/or services that will be exhibited.

Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to the applicant's compliance with the exhibition's objectives and guidelines.  

An Exhibitors Briefing session will be held on 3 October 2012 , Wednesday 9 October 2012 (Tuesday) (venue and time TBD). During this session:
a) The terms and conditions of the exhibition will be explained
b) Booth will be balloted


  • Must showcase and demonstrate OSS products, solutions and/or services
  • Can showcase interoperability solutions between OSS and proprietary platforms and products
  • Exhibitors’ booths must remain open and attended at all times by 2 exhibitor representatives (dress code: office attire) for the duration, i.e. 30 - 31 October 2012, of MyGOSSCON 2012
  • Must fully utilise the exhibition booth’s dimensions (2 meter x 3 meter) using relevant collaterals and displays
  • OSS solutions intended for Public Sector use are encouraged to be demonstrated
  • Exhibitors are expected to demonstrate that they can satisfy the requirements for quality displays and exhibit stand demonstrations
  • Demonstration equipment must not obstruct the passageway in common areas or disturb other exhibitors

A 6sqm (2m x 3m) Shell Scheme Booth package includes the following:

  • Wall partition, 2.5m high, with white laminated panel
  • Fascia board, with booth's name in English and capital letters, and booth number
  • Needle punch carpet
  • One (1) 13 amp Power Point (Square pin plug is used in Malaysia)
  • Two (2) Fluorescent lighting tubes
  • One (1) 700mmH Information Desk
  • Two (2) Folding Chairs
  • One (1) Waste paper basket
  • Lunch for two (2) participants on 30 - 31 October 2012

Putrajaya Marriott Hotel will be open for exhibitors to set-up their booths on 29 October 2012 (Monday) between 11.00 am - 6.00pm.

Each exhibitor is responsible for set-up and safeguarding exhibition equipment and materials.


Exhibitors can start dismantling work on 31 October 2012 (Wednesday) at 07.00pm. Exhibitor is responsible to remove own exhibition equipment and materials by 10.00 pm.

One Best Exhibitor Award will be presented to celebrate, recognise and provide incentive to be the best exhibitor in the OSS Showcase Exhibition.

The judging criteria for the Best Exhibitor Award will be:

  1. Booth design, dressing and cleanliness
  2. Displayed product
  3. Professionalism of presenters

A panel of judges will determine one (1) exhibitor for the Best Exhibitor Award. The panel's decision will be final with the winner announced during the closing ceremony of MyGOSSCON 2012.
